Z.J. Williams School

Project Overview

Z.J. Williams School is a K-12 school located in the remote village of Napaskiak in Alaska. The new building offers the rural community more than education for its students, but also hope for a stronger community.

Thermal and Energy Performance

Working with our local dealer Capitol Glass Northerm Windows, we supplied tilt and turn windows and fixed windows for the project. The triple glazed and triple seal windows provide the necessary thermal and energy performance required for Alaska’s cold climate.

The school celebrated its grand opening during the last week of October 2016. The day-long celebration was attended by community leaders, community members and media. The grand occasion marked the beginning of a new chapter for Napaskiak, a chapter where students have an opportunity to learn and thrive in a comfortable and healthy environment, the community has a place to gather, and a future of a strong, united community.
