Multi-Generational Living
A main floor primary suite and a self-contained upstairs kitchenette for multi-generational living added further demands on the envelope, requiring consistent performance across separately occupied zones.
In the dining area, a large multi-pane window brings the traditional look full circle, with a classic grid pattern and dark frame that echoes the home’s wainscoting and crown millwork. Even at that scale, the triple glazing carries its full thermal load, so the window reads as a traditional feature rather than a visible compromise for performance.
Innotech’s triple glazed windows and doors were specified to meet Step 4 targets, delivering the air tightness and thermal performance the energy model required without sacrificing the sightlines and proportions the traditional design called for. For architects and builders working toward Step Code compliance without defaulting to a modern look, it’s a clear example of how far performance glazing can go without compromising on form.

Four-Season Sunroom
The rear sunroom shows that balance best. Red brick walls and tile flooring give it a classic, lived-in feel, while a custom glass roof and triple glazed windows keep it comfortable year round instead of functioning as a three-season space.
Zero-Grass Landscaping
That same low maintenance approach extends outside, with zero-grass landscaping in place of a lawn, structured pathways, and curated plantings. Paired with the sunroom’s glazing, it keeps the outdoors easy to enjoy.
