Harrison Tower

Project Overview

Originally built in the 1960’s, the Harrison Tower Apartments recently underwent a significant building envelope upgrade. The concrete structure featured highly inefficient windows that were not protecting the structure or the residents from wind or water. In addition, heat was escaping from the windows, increasing the three towers’ energy costs.

Excellent Thermal Performance

Innotech windows and doors were selected because of their excellent energy efficiency, thermal performance and air, water and sound protection. Extensive on site testing was performed on the windows and doors of all three towers during the two year restoration. The energy performance of our Hybrid Framing System coupled with other energy upgrades allowed the building owners to receive a significant energy rebate from their local energy company.

Assembly of the windows and doors was done on site. Due to limited exterior access, the windows and doors were delivered unassembled, were carried up the elevator to each unit, and then individually assembled in each opening.
