Skaha Hills

PROJECT Overview

Set on 550 acres above Skaha Lake in Penticton, British Columbia, Skaha Hills is a master-planned community designed on an exceptional scale with approximately 600 homes and condos. Construction began in 2014 and has continued through successive phases for more than a decade. Today, Skaha Hills continues to grow, reflecting the long-term vision and enduring partnerships required to deliver a community of this size.

Committed Partnership

Innotech’s involvement began modestly. During the first phase, our windows and doors were offered as an upgrade. Ten homeowners selected them. Positive feedback from both homeowners and Greyback led to a significant change: Innotech windows and doors became the standard fenestration choice for homes throughout the development.

For a multi-phase development, that consistency matters. An established manufacturer relationship means the project team understands the product, the process and the people behind it. Lessons learned in one phase carry forward to the next, helping simplify decision-making while maintaining a consistent standard of quality across different home designs and building types.

Being that Skaha Hills is also one of Canada’s most energy efficient communities it’s perfect for those looking to love an environmentally sound lifestyle thanks to their incorporation of advanced technology in sustainable urban planning and home design.”

Energy performance has been part of the Skaha Hills story since its earliest phase. The first homes were designed to achieve an EnerGuide rating of 88, and Skaha Hills received the FortisBC Award for Building Energy Efficiency through the Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Okanagan’s Tommie Awards.

The architecture of Skaha Hills is closely tied to its setting. Homes are positioned to take advantage of views across Skaha Lake, Penticton and the surrounding mountains, with open living spaces, generous glazing and outdoor living areas helping connect residents to the landscape.

As Skaha Hills has evolved, Innotech has supplied window and door solutions for a wide variety of single family and multi-family home designs. Large areas of glazing help capture the community’s defining lake and mountain views, while high-performance frames and glazing support the development’s longstanding emphasis on comfort and energy efficiency.

Different products, configurations, and finishes have been used over the many phases of the development, allowing the fenestration to evolve alongside the architecture while maintaining a consistent performance standard.

Phase After Phase

What began in 2014 has grown into one of the South Okanagan’s most significant master-planned communities. With approximately 600 homes and condos envisioned across 550 acres, Skaha Hills has continued to evolve through multiple neighbourhoods, housing types and phases of construction.

For a development of this scale, consistency matters. Long-term relationships with trusted builders, manufacturers and project partners allow lessons learned in one phase to carry forward to the next, helping maintain quality while making each successive phase easier to deliver.

Views Without Compromise

At Skaha Hills, expansive windows and doors are an essential part of the architecture, framing sweeping views of Skaha Lake, the valley and surrounding mountains while creating a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Innotech’s high-performance windows and doors make those larger openings possible without sacrificing comfort or energy efficiency. Highly insulated frames, advanced glazing and exceptional air and water tightness help maintain more consistent interior temperatures through the Okanagan’s hot summers and cold winters, allowing homeowners to enjoy the views in every season.
